Premature Ejaculation (PE)

premature ejaculation (PE) is one of the most common sexual problems. The condition is most often described as the inability to delay ejaculation to a point when it is mutually desirable for both partners. According to recent research the problem of premature ejaculation (PE) frustrates 10 percent of men. Find out about some techniques your guy (and you) can try to overcome this awkward condition.

premature ejaculation (PE) is very normal. However most men wish to have some control over when they ejaculate so they can satisfy their partner. Failure to control ejaculation can cause feelings of inadequacy, guilt and conflict within a relationship. Sometimes, premature ejaculation (PE) happens because of youth, inexperience, or a physical hypersensitivity to erotic stimulation. For some men, their first sexual experience, either with a partner or through masturbation, occurred under pressure or in less than ideal situations. He may have felt guilt or fear of getting caught that caused him to ejaculate quickly. Frequent repetition of such events makes premature ejaculation (PE) a difficult but not impossible habit to break.

premature ejaculation (PE) is a common sexual complaint. Estimates vary, but as many as one out of three men may be affected by this problem at some time. The exact cause of premature ejaculation (PE) isn't known. While it was once thought to be only psychological, we now know premature ejaculation (PE) is more complicated and involves a complex interaction of both psychological and biological factors.

Although both biological and psychological factors likely play a role in most cases of premature ejaculation (PE), experts think a primarily biological cause is more likely if it has been a lifelong problem (primary premature ejaculation). It's possible that your husband's premature ejaculation (PE) has gotten him so down that he's withdrawing from sex. If so, that can be easily remedied. Quite often, when a man gains good ejaculatory control, he suddenly becomes much more interested in sex. And even if he doesn't, it might be nicer for both of you if he lasted longer and avoided premature ejaculation (PE).

Men with premature ejaculation (PE) aren't able to recognise what therapists call the "point of inevitability". This is a sensation that occurs just a few moments before ejaculation. Men who don't suffer from PE are able to recognise this sensation and either stop or change stimulation until the urgency has subsided. Most commonly, men who suffer from premature ejaculation (PE) will have had it throughout their sexual life and won't ever have noticed this "point of inevitability". There are a number of reasons why this might have happened. It may be that initially, sex was always rushed or was associated with feelings of guilt or anxiety.

premature ejaculation (PE) may be primary or secondary. Primary premature ejaculation applies to individuals who have had the condition since they became capable of functioning sexually (ie, postpuberty). Secondary premature ejaculation means that the condition began in an individual who previously experienced an acceptable level of ejaculatory control, and, for unknown reasons, he began experiencing premature ejaculation later in life. Secondary premature ejaculation does not relate to a general medical disorder and is usually not related to substance inducement, although, rarely, hyperexcitability might relate to a psychotropic drug and resolves when the drug is withdrawn. Premature ejaculation fits best into the category of "not otherwise specified" because the cause is unknown, although psychological factors are suggested in most cases.
